Mentorship main interface.

Mentorship is a system in Swords of Legends Online, where experienced and new players are rewarded for playing together in various different in-game activities. The system's core idea is to make it easier for new players to get informed answers about the games and find players to play with. Rewards from this activity are considered worth it, even for experienced players to encouraging playing with as much as possible. Rewards from Mentorship system include special titles and rewards. Mentorship points received by both Master and the apprentice are also listed in Dragonstar list, so players can compete against each other by helping new players, or playing with their Masters (Both parties can gain Mentorship points, however in different rates based on if they are the Master or Apprentice in the relationship).

One character can have maximum of three masters and six apprentices and they do not go across the characters. Masters and apprentices also must be in same server inside the same region (You can not be Master or apprentice for someone if you are in EU1 and they are in EU2).

Apprentice and Master can teleport to each other five times a day with special ability. This is useful when trying to reach locations quickly. This is also often used by pre-made raid or dungeon groups to reach entrances of instances faster.

You can become a master at level Student 1, and apprentice at level Beginner 20. You can't become Master for your Apprentice or Apprentice for your Master at the same time, however you can end your current mentorship and start a new one between each other, however this is not recommended as it will reset your current mentor and apprentice levels.

To open the Mentorship interface, press the little mug above your chat interface Button for mentorship and apprenticeship UI

Chat system[edit | edit source]

Unlike any other form of communicating through chat box at the bottom-left corner of the screen, Master and Apprentice are able to interact with each other through special chat box. It is separate interface where both parties can discuss which each other in peace, without other chat getting in the way. You can open this interface by clicking the speech bubble-button on top of your chat box. This is only available for Masters and Apprentices.

Upon logging into the game, if one of your apprentices or masters are logged in, you will get an automated message to inform you about this (This automated message can be edited, however there is always a text by default and you can not erase it completely).

Chat between Master and Apprentice does not save over logging out, so once you swap character or close the client, everything said will be lost forever

Masters are the experienced part of the mentorship relationship. Their part is to teach the apprentice ropes to become self-sufficient and active player in the game. Character must be level Student 1 to become Master and start accepting apprentices.

Before becoming a master, character must also complete the master tutorial found under Leisure and Fun tab in Cultivation interface

To find apprentices, you can either setup an automatic Master advertisement, or accept them manually. Either way apprentice has brief introduction of themselves describing themselves where you can see if your interests match and if you think you two would make a good Mentorship. Description includes: Alliance, Server (Always same as yours), class, gender, Online time, Faction and short open-word part where they can tell about themselves freely. Apprentice will have to manually accept or choose you before you two create mentorship relationship. The accept-window appears on their screen for few minutes, however if they are not currently looking at the game, the invitation can become obsolete.

Mentorship goals[edit | edit source]

Mentorship goals can be completed without actually playing together, as long as Mentorship has started between the two. These are also permanent and do not reset and they are tied to one apprentice, which also means that one Master can receive multiple rewards if multiple apprentices complete the same Mentorship goals, for which purpose it might be beneficial to complete mentorship goals together with multiple apprentices at the same time.

Master will receive the reward after the Apprentice has completed the certain amount of listed content.

It is important to keep in mind that you can only receive one reward for each Main goal per week, so if you have multiple rewards from multiple apprentices, DO NOT ACCEPT THEM OR THEY WILL BE GONE. You will have to wait for next week to receive rewards from same main goal from each apprentice.

Growth Quests[edit | edit source]

Growth quests can be completed without actually playing together, as long as Mentorship has started between the two. These are the objectives for apprentices to reach. Once apprentices complete these quests, both apprentice and mentor receive rewards. Growth quests are permanent and do not reset. Growth quests are also not shared between multiple Masters and apprentices, but are specific between each separate mentorships.

It is important to keep in mind that you can only receive one reward for each Main goal per week, so if you have multiple rewards from multiple Masters, DO NOT ACCEPT THEM OR THEY WILL BE GONE. You will have to wait for next week to receive rewards from same main goal from each master.

Mentor points[edit | edit source]

Both Masters and Apprentices are able to gain Mentor Points (also called "Mentor and Apprentice points"). Mentor points are rewarded for actively playing with your master or apprentice. However there are some passive ways, such as being in same map, you gain 1 point every 15 minutes.

Mentor points can unlock titles and achievements, but they can not be used to receive any sort of in-game items. Items from mentorship system are gained from using Mentor Tickets

Mentor points are visible for everyone and can be competed for on Dragonstar list against everyone else on the same server. If character has not acquired any Mentor points, they do not

Mentor points also level up character's Mentor level.

Mentor and apprentice level is levelled up by obtaining mentor points. There are rewards for reaching Mentor level thresholds. Both Mentor and Apprentice levels are capped to 50.

Mentor level is separate between every master and apprentice. This means that with one apprentice your level can be 1 but with another apprentice the level can be 30.

There are different rewards for reaching level thresholds for both Master and Apprentice.

Due to the nature of being able to repeatedly reach level threshold between multiple apprentices or mentors, it means that one character can unlock same rewards multiple times, which they have no use to (you can not unlock same title multiple times). One character can reach maximum level of 50 in both Apprentice level and Mentor level, as each character can have multiple apprentices and masters at the same time.

Mentor tickets[edit | edit source]

Helper Deacon Tang Che found in Cloudrise (1, 57)

Mentor tickets are rewards for completing weekly mentorship goals. They can be received from multiple Mentorships at once, either as apprentice or master. Best way to boost amount of Mentor tickets received, is to create as many Mentorships as possible with tight group of players and complete content together, however some consider this going against the core meaning of the system.
