Arena PvP

Arena, called Garden of Blades in game, is an instanced 3v3 Player vs. Player mode. It can be accessed under the PvP menu (Ctrl+K) and found under the "Duel Battle" tab. Garden of Blades is available every day from 11 AM until 4 AM the next day. Players can queue by themselves or with a team of three. Players must choose a role (healer or DPS - tanks are not allowed in Garden of Blades). In premade groups, there cannot be more than one of the same class and only one class is allowed to be a healer. The battle lasts until all members of one team have been defeated (resurrection is not possible) or the 15 minute timer is reached.

There are three different maps available, which are chosen at random each game. These include Fenghuang Temple, Baxian Summit, and Dreamworld. Additionally, players can choose a buff at the beginning of the match before the game has started. This buff lasts 30 minutes, and only one can be chosen out of three - 5% healing, 5% HP, or 5% damage. The 6% HP buff gained from Bard's Oven of Life can be used, but will overwrite and replace any other buff you have selected.

Ranking

Garden of Blades has a ranking system in place. The rankings are separated into Leagues (Bronze through Diamond), and Leagues are separated into levels (typically I through V). Rank is increased by winning games, and can be lost by losing games in Bronze III or higher. Additionally, players can "de-rank" or demote into lower levels or Leagues in Silver I and higher. Different leagues have different rewards, and unlock more PvP gear available to purchase from the Zhong Family merchant located at (29,90) in Cloudrise. However, some of this gear is time-gated, and can only be purchased after a certain date in the season.

Garden of Blades has a category in the Dragonstar List, under the "Private" category of "Battle Rankings."

Victory rewards include Combat Spirit, Amulet Coins (Earth), and Red Maple Seals, which can be used to purchase Quality Level 100 PvP gear from the aforementioned merchant. There is also a Weekly Cultivation event for Garden of Blades, which can be satisfied by either 5 wins in Garden of Blades or in Test Duels, or by 10 games in Garden of Blades as a Battle Squad. This event has a reward of money, 75 Amulet Coins (Heaven), 2 Lotus Chests, 500 Yunfeng's Seal, and 500 Combat Spirit.

Additional season rewards such as titles and cosmetics can be obtained by reaching specific Leagues during a season.

In lower Leagues, it is common to face against bots to allow all players to catch up in gear and ranking. Additionally, players above 2600 ranking are all categorized into "2600+" when matching.

Battle Squad

Battle Squads are teams that can be created for additional rewards in Garden of Blades. There is no distinction between solo and squad queues, so solo players may encounter a team queue and vice versa. Battle Squads can have 5 players at a time, and have their own ranking unique from individual ranking. Creating a Battle Squad costs 20 gold coins, and Battle Squads start at 1000 ranking.

After either 10 victories or 20 battles every week, members of a Battle Squad can receive a box containing a random piece of Garden of Blades gear. The Quality Level of these boxes is dependent on the ranking of the Squad. Additionally, Battle Squads receive special season rewards, and have their own category in the Dragonstar List, under the "Disputes" category of "Battle Squad Rankings." There is a 7-day cooldown upon leaving a Battle Squad.

When playing as a team, party members must be within 400 ranking of each other to queue.

Seasons

Yunjin Season Rewards (November 25, 2021 - ???)

Tingfeng Season Rewards (July 15, 2021 - November 11, 2021)

Garden of Blades has seasons which each feature their own gear sets and ranking rewards for that particular patch. The current season is Yunjin, which has a heaven/cloud theme, and began on November 25, 2021. The gear set for Yunjin is Quality Level 110.

The rewards for Yunjin are separated into solo and team (Squad) rewards. Solo rewards are obtained immediately upon reaching the ranking required to advance to a League, and they are not lost upon demoting out of a League by losing ranking. Battle Squad rewards are given at the end of a season according to Battle Squad ranking.
